John Tomlins is our Chairman and a non-executive director. John was the FNZ UK Chairman until December 2019 and is currently a member of the FNZ UK Board. John is a highly experienced business leader with director experience at Plc level and has extensive experience in the retail discretionary wealth sector.
He has a proven track record of combining strategic thinking with delivering major IT and change programmes, and has led transformational culture change in large enterprises and start-ups.
Jonathan has performed senior Finance, IT and Operations roles in a variety of financial services companies large and small for well over 25 years. He was the Financial Controller and later IT Director at Laing and Cruickshank Investment Management Ltd, which was acquired by UBS in 2004. Subsequently he left UBS in 2007 to co-found Vestra Wealth LLP a highly successful private client wealth management boutique and as the C.O.O. he set up and led the Finance IT and Operation departments. Jonathan then joined Multrees Investor Services as COO until December 2014.
Non Executive Director
Edward has 25 years’ experience across a wide spectrum of financial services. Originally qualified as an investment manager for a one of the leading regional Discretionary Wealth and Asset Managers followed by a move into business change/integration, product design, development, operations, and consultancy.
Most recently he has run his own consultancy helping investment management companies/providers and platforms address and cope with the challenges faced in the ever-evolving financial services industry. This focused on business development, wealth management/the retail investor, fund and DFM establishment, business integration, Authorised Corporate Director (ACD) structuring, supplier negotiation and management. Edward previously worked as Group Head of Operations at Octopus Investments and Product Director at Euroclear after an initial 10-year spell at Gerrard Asset Management. Edward is being appointed because of his knowledge and experience in this area of the market. He will aid the development of the business from an investment and propositions perspective, while also providing the additional support and oversight as an FNZ Group Senior Leadership Team member.
Katrina has performed senior roles within both commercial (Aegon) and infrastructure (Euroclear). Her 17 years at Euroclear has provided her with an in-depth knowledge of settlement, asset servicing and client money related activities. As head of EUI Product and more latterly Global Head of Euroclear’s FundsPlace she gained the necessary retail and market experience and knowledge to positively impact at the Board level. She has extensive Executive experience having been on the Executive Management Committee of Euroclear UK and Ireland and an Executive Director of Euroclear Quantessence.
Since leaving Euroclear she has held the position of Managing Director Aegon Institutional where she was responsible for running the Institutional book of business inclusive of interaction with market participants and stakeholders. She is currently MD of FNZ AMI Business Development and responsible for relationships and business development in the Wealth and Discretionary Investment Manager sector.
